Uncovering the Power of Community: A Reflection on Who I Am

I am a yoga teacher, reiki master, sassy sag, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and mom to my beloved fur babies. Recently, I faced an unexpected and life-changing stroke for unknown reasons, which has led me to navigate cognitive and emotional challenges, along with a new ADHD diagnosis and insomnia.

As I figure out who I am in this new normal, the support of community and friendships has been invaluable. My journey through these experiences has deepened my passion for holistic health.

This blog is something I’ve wanted to create for a while, and it’s actually the second site I’ve built. It’s just the beginning of a greater vision to be developed, where my professional experience meets my love for all things holistic—offering support, sharing experiences, and connecting with others on a journey toward balance and well-being.

Welcome, I’m glad you’re here!

MY YOGA COMMUNITY and my WHY

I wrote this the other day when I was feeling SO GOOD 😊 and excited for the future too. Now, not so much. 😢 My emotions are like waves …. 🌊

Anyway, I was FLYING HIGH  ✈️ yesterday morning after another WONDERFUL showing to my 8:00 am yoga 🧘 class. And yes 👍 I am bragging because I worked d#mn hard for this. 17 today without 4 regulars. WOOT! WOOT!

My students ranged from 4 to 80. SO.MUCH.FUN

I had one gentleman show who NEVER came to a Saturday class (only saw him during the week!) but he wanted to see me. So, there’s that. 😢 First time seeing him since getting sick.

I had another gentleman tell me he hopes he sees me during the week. I said to him, I didn’t know he was coming during the week. He said … his wife got him to yoga 🧘 but I KEPT him coming back!

And of course, thank you to my friend Deborah Muse for reminding me of my resilience! You’re THE BEST!

You have no idea what an honor it is to share my joy and I am so humbled to be able to do this. ❤️ I WILL never take this opportunity or my yoga 🧘 community for granted. I adore each and every one of them.

(And the crazy thing, after I went back for my first time, I almost gave up. I thought it was going to be too hard for me. But slowly, week by week, I have regained my footing despite slurring my speech when I talk fast. 💨 Never give up, peeps 🐥).

I keep things light and fun, always open to new ideas and willing to embrace trial and error. I want to support and inspire others on their journey, making everyone feel valued and understood. Plus, this is your chance to get in on the ground floor and be part of something exciting from the very start. Together, we'll cry and mostly laugh, finding more than just guidance—you’ll find a genuine connection and a loyal partner and community in growth.
